Some basic questions should be asked to help narrow down terminal block selection. Does the design require one-piece wire-to-board or two piece pluggable configuration? What direction should the wires be in relation to the PCB; top, side, angled, left, or right hand plugs? How tall or short does the block need to be? Does the application require a secondary locking mechanism? Is a higher density or multi-level terminal block more desired? Finally, is using a molded to length or modular style terminal block more important?
