Following the path of increased integration and higher performances, ST’s portfolio includes the fully-protected dual H-bridge PowerSPIN family, available with or without embedded decoding logic, the FlexSPIN family, addressing multimotor applications, and the EasySPIN family, implementing a smart step-clock microstepping and featuring SPI configurability and diagnostics. dSPIN provides fully embedded intelligence so there is no need for a microcontroller to manage the motion. Finally cSPIN is like dSPIN, that is limited at 45 V and 2 A. For high current and voltage, the cSPIN has the same features but drive external MOSFETs instead of integrating MOSFETs, increasing the scalability of the application.
