In summary, the APEM HF series is a multi-axis, Hall effect joystick designed for finger operated applications. It is available with up to three proportional axis, the “Z” axis being provided by rotation of the handle. The HF series features a connectorized housing which requires only one inch below the panel for mounting. It has been qualified up to five million lifecycles making it appropriate for safety critical applications where ergonomics are important but space is limited. The HF series is now available with environmentally sealed three axis handles that all provide an IP67 rating, sealed against dust and moisture. The model 50 and 51 handles provide three axis of proportional control, with the model 51 also providing a momentary pushbutton switch function. Model 52 and 55 handles provide two momentary pushbutton switch functions in addition to the three proportional axis.
