UCC12040/50 3 kVRMS & 5 kVRMS Isolated DC/DC Converters | Datasheet Preview

Achieved using Texas Instruments’ breakthrough integrated transformer technology, these DC-to-DC converters with their 3 or 5 kilovolts-RMS reinforced isolation ratings are designed to provide efficient, isolated power to isolated circuits that necessitate a bias supply with regulated output voltages. These devices integrate a transformer and a DC-to-DC controller with proprietary architecture for providing 500 milliwatts of isolated power with high efficiency and low EMI. Designers can employ these IC-sized package converters to miniaturize their designs up to 80 percent with two-times the efficiency and two-times the power density. Ideal applications include isolated voltage and current sensing, protection relays and smart breakers, patient monitoring, isolated communications modules, and others.
