Panasonic Wide Field of View Sensors | DigiKey Daily

Panasonic introduces their wide-field-of-view PIR (pronounced: "P-I-R") motion sensors. This line of motion sensors is an extension to the existing lines of the EKMB and EKMC series. Appropriately named, for their unique wide-field-of-view capabilities, these PIR sensors have a flat and rectangular shape which allows them to detect up to 150 degrees in a single axis. And because the motion detection zones are overlapping, this sensor is capable of detecting motion that directly approaches the sensor. These motion sensors are offered in colors of black, white, and pearl white, and are available in one, two, and six microamp versions for accommodating battery-powered devices. Ideal applications include lighting fixtures, video intercoms and doorbells, and vending machines.
