KYOCERA AVX SCC and SCM Series Supercapacitors | DigiKey Daily
KYOCERA AVX SCC and SCM series supercapacitors are cylindrical electrochemical double-layer capacitors that combine high capacitance with low ESR for hold up, energy harvesting, and pulse power applications. The capacitors have low leakage current and support high peak currents, and can be used by themselves or in conjunction with other batteries. For pulse power applications, such as GSM modules, or camera flash systems, the primary battery can rapidly and efficiently charge the supercapacitor between pulses, minimizing the current draw on the battery and the effects of high pulse currents.
