AFI Connector Interface

The AFI interface utilizes a proprietary configuration that allows for one of the industry’s leading “float” to compensate for the axial and radial misalignment due to packaging tolerances. This float results in a maximum misalignment allowed by the system of ±0.015” (±0.38 mm) radial and ±0.020” (±0.50 mm) axial. The shrouded design and floating bullet of the AFI allows mating to occur when there is misalignment of the radial and axial planes between connectors.
