WR-BHD Series Box Headers and IDC Connectors

Würth Elektronik's box header and insulation displacement connector (IDC) flat cable connectors are one of the most famous and widely used connector types. IDCs are insulated wires pressed into terminal slots smaller than the conductor diameter, displacing the insulation to make electrical contact. Insulation does not have to be removed, which is the major advantage of this termination method.

Box headers and IDC connectors can be found in nearly all electronic equipment and the WR-BHD product technology allows cost effective connections between circuit boards based on a permanent connection (using the transition connector) or a removable connection (using the IDC flat cable connectors).
