SEN-12670 3-Axis Magnetometer Breakout
SparkFun's SEN-12670 3-axis magnetometer and Freescale’s MAG3110 3-axis magnetometer, produce orientation independent accurate compass heading information
SparkFun's SEN-12670 is used in conjunction with Freescale's MAG3110, which is a small, low-power, digital 3-axis magnetometer. The device can be used to produce accurate compass heading information independent of orientation. It features a standard I2C serial interface output and smart embedded functions. The SparkFun breakout board makes the QFN package easy-to-use. This board breaks out all of the pins for the MAG3110 to a standard 0.1" header and also supplies the necessary filtering capacitors so that you can easily use it in your next navigation project.
Note: A logic level converter (1568-1209-ND) will be needed if using an Arduino Uno or similar 5 V logic device. Even if 3.3 V is supplied to the VDD, an Uno outputting 5 V logic can still destroy the breakout board.
