Pulse Electronics, a YAGEO Company, offers the RC series of current sense coils for use in measurement and billing applications for alternating current, such as smart grid and smart metering. By employing a non-ferromagnetic core, the RC series offers numerous advantages over traditional current transformers that use ferromagnetic cores. These coils eliminate nonlinear effects caused by core saturation and the need for precise burden resistors. The RC series meets and exceeds the accuracy expectations, meeting IEC 61869-10 accuracy class 1 and ANSI C12.20 accuracy class 1.0 standards.
