Microchip’s core development tools are an important part of the design process for embedded engineers
The selling of 2 million tools establishes Microchip as a major player in the embedded design world. Microchip has over 1600 development boards that service hundreds of applications and help reduce prototype time. More than likely, there is a board to address their application. Microchip’s development tools are easy to use with one IDE that supports all MCUs and DSCs, runs on all three operating systems (Mac Os, Linux and Windows), and three levels of debugger / programmer functionality and price. Plus, Microchip has the most flexible compiler-licensing model with four different types to choose from, including the recently released subscription license.
