Carlo Gavazzi’s relays have a built-in varistor which secures transient protection for heavy industrial applications
Carlo Gavazzi’s RZ3A series solid-state relays are designed to switch various loads such as heating elements, motors, and transformers. The RZ3A can switch high voltages up to 690 VAC(RMS). Various models are capable of handling resistive loads up to 75 AAC(RMS) and motor loads up to 20 AAC(RMS) when used with a corresponding heat sink. These relays have a built-in varistor which secures transient protection for heavy industrial applications. For higher reliability and load cycle capability, three semiconductor power units are soldered directly on to a direct copper bonded (DCB) substrate. The RZ3A series is available in both AC and DC control versions with a built-in LED status indication for applied control voltage and optional overtemperature alarm output.
