Cantherm's R53 series equivalent to popular R20 line

Image of Cantherm's R53 Series Bimetal CutoutsCantherm's R53 bimetal cutout is a direct replacement to its popular and long running R20 series. Much like its predecessor, the R53 series is a versatile and inexpensive solution for thermal control in a wide variety of applications. The CS7 ½-inch disc thermostat line has been sourced in the USA as a replacement that is electrically equivalent to the R20 line. The R53 is CSA and VDE approved for 100,000 cycles at full resistive load.

Dimensionally, the CS7 is similar to the R20 except that it is 12 mm high while the R20 was 9mm high. Additionally, the aluminum floating mounting flange (bracket) is slightly smaller but has the same bolt pattern as the old model, and the same terminal options are available.
