Nano R4 System on Module

The Arduino Nano R4 compact system on modules (SOMs) are designed to facilitate the smooth transition of projects from prototyping on the popular UNO R4 Minima to production-scale builds. They feature the familiar RA4M1 microcontroller used across the UNO R4 family, allowing developers to save time by leveraging existing firmware and libraries without rewriting code when transitioning from the larger UNO R4 Minima to the more compact Nano R4.

Powered by the Renesas RA series 32-bit microcontroller and built on the Arm® Cortex®-M architecture, the Nano R4 includes 256 kB of Flash memory and 32 kB of RAM. These MCUs are known for their balance of low power consumption and high performance, making them ideal for scalable and efficient product development. The Nano R4 adds value by including a USB-C® port, SPI and I²C interfaces, and support for 14 digital, eight analog, and six PWM pinouts.

Measuring just 4.3 cm x 1.7 cm (approximately 1.7 inches x 0.67 inches), the Nano R4 SOMs are well-suited for space-constrained applications. Their single-sided component layouts and onboard QWIIC connectors enhance their flexibility, simplifying integration with sensors and custom hardware.
