Advantech's serial to fiber converters allow any pair of asynchronous serial equipment to communicate at full or half-duplex over two fibers with high data rates. Fiber lines are inherently resistant to EMI/RFI and transient surges, so they are ideal for data communications near heavy electrical equipment and other electrical or radio interference.
