Renesas’ winning combination drive solution for heating or inductive coils improves efficiency and load control in external elements
Renesas’ winning combination drive solution drives an external element, whether a coil for heating, a wire for generating a magnetic field, or an inductor to propel a motor. A microcontroller (MCU) sends a pulse width modulated signal to the gate driver that efficiently connects power to the driving element or removes its charge. A comparator and amplifiers are used to monitor current flow and trigger any overcurrent events.
