This page describes how to develop RL78/G15. Various tools are available for each step. First, if the customer is not sure which MCU is suitable for the project, use the "Web Simulator“ to find out. No evaluation board or software tools are required, and the customer can quickly check the MCU performance using only a web browser. After verifying the performance, the evaluation board will be helpful to kickstart the development. Then, the customer can use a debugger and programmer with tools such as E2 Lite/E2 and Bridge IC during the development. Finally, Renesas also provides a PG-FP6 Flash programmer and manufacturing tools. For software tools, Renesas has compilers, IDEs, and development support tools, including familiar partners as well as Renesas’ in-house software.
