To easily develop customer applications, RL78/G15 has user-friendly pin functions. A lot of ADC channels (dark blue squares in the figure above) are available. Serial functions (green squares in the figure above) can be repositioned in a variety of ways. The RESET pin has a lot of alternative functions (red square in the figure above). Furthermore, all pins can be used as I/O ports except for Power and GND. Of course, RL78/G15 is compatible with RL78/G10 (10-pin, 16-pin) and RL78/G12 (20-pin) in terms of pin functions.
