With its small package size, the LTM4624 delivers respectable efficiency of 80% at 4A from a 12V to a 1.5V output. When light load mode is enabled allowing the LTM4624 power switches to skip cycles, the efficiency at a 100mA load improves to 70% under the same conditions. Load Transient performance is also very good with a 55mV peak to peak deviation under a 2A to 4A load step at 1V and two 47µF output capacitors.
