Tweak the Detection

There are a few different things the customer can do to tweak the detection of the sensor. The standard distance sensor has a range of 2 meters and a 120° viewing angle. It can also detect through a polyethylene material, which reduces the range to about 1 to 2 meters. Additionally, the customer can add an optional lens to the sensor and it will increase the range to 5 meters. KEMET also offers a product that can detect through glass or resin materials. This is used for short range detection, up to 20 cm.
