Operation of the “Swing Lock” mating is simple. To mate the connector, the user must insert the cable side first, then press down on the lever side. They will feel and hear the locking mechanism engage with a clear tactile click. Two locks, positive and friction, are provided in these small connectors. To un-mate, lift up on the lever edge and pull upward, in a rotating motion to release the friction lock portion. Continue to lift up, until the positive lock is released and removal is complete.
