The table shown here represents typical devices used in the most common light duty applications. Auto series varistor parameters include breakdown voltage, 1mA conduction point, clamping voltage based upon a specific 8x20µS waveform with a defined peak current, maximum leakage defined at the rated DC working voltage, peak energy based upon a 10x100µS waveform, peak current based on an 8x20µS waveform, capacitance measured at 1kHz or 1MHz, and jump start voltage and power dissipation.
