Toshiba’s ESD protection diodes are a market leader in dynamic resistance. Dynamic resistance is the measure of the diode’s resistance as seen by highly transient pulses such as ESD. If the diode is slow to react to sharp peak pulses, then it will fail to adequately protect the system. Only with a low dynamic resistance can a user’s ESD protection solution reduce the high transient voltages from leaking into their design.
