Ring lug terminal blocks were developed with a robust design and offer convenient wiring for ring cable lugs. This connection style requires a nut to secure the cable lug to the bolt. Some manufacturers of ring lug blocks designed the lock with hinged covers that include a captive cap nut. This feature eliminates the possibility of dropping the nut, which would make the connection unreliable. Ring lug terminal blocks with captive nuts ensure reliable connections with long-term stability. A special characteristic of ring lug terminal blocks is the ability to support multi-conductor connections, where up to four cable lugs per bolt can be secured.
