The LTM2884 is a complete galvanically isolated USB 2.0 compatible µModule transceiver that guards against large ground-to-ground differentials by isolating the logic level interface and line transceiver using internal inductive signal isolation. This highly integrated solution combines a 2500V_RMS galvanic isolation barrier and all necessary power components into a compact, surface mount BGA package. The integrated isolated DC/DC converter can be powered by an external supply to provide up to 2.5W of output power, or powered by the USB bus to provide up to 1W of output power. Absolutely no external components are required. 3.3V LDO outputs are also available on both sides of the isolation barrier to serve as signal references or supplies for USB interface circuitry.
