With an analog interface and two fast overcurrent detection outputs, this device provides protection for power circuitry. Galvanic isolation is achieved through the magnetic sensing principle. The Infineon robust monolithic Hall technology enables accurate and highly linear measurement of currents with a full scale up to 120 A.

For evaluation and development purposes, the XENSIV TLE4971 EVAL 120 A board is available, which assesses current sensors for three-phase systems with running currents up to 120 A. This board includes three TLE4971-A120N5-E0001 sensors and can be used standalone or with the Infineon XENSIV TLE4972 current sensor programmer tool. The board provides SMD high current connectors and M4 screws for attachment, as well as an isolated interface rated at 1150 V peak VIORM, ensuring safe and reliable operation.
